EmptyEpsilon is a spaceship bridge simulator game where you act as bridge officers. A free and open source game
Review
In EmptyEpsilon, you will find yourself in the role of officers on the bridge of a spaceship, as in Star Trek.
You can play alone or in a group of 6 people on the same ship.
With the exception of the captain, each officer controls a part of the ship. The captain’s only duty is to communicate with other officers and tell them what they should do.
Available Roles:
- Captain – General management;
- Helmsman – controls the movement of the ship;
- Weapons Officer – manages the ship’s weapons and shields;
- Engineer – can distribute power and repair subsystems of the ship;
- Scientific Officer – management of long-range scanners and a large database;
- Relay Officer – can see and greet allies, share his short-range radar and launch remote probes.
Internet play. A crew can play EmptyEpsilon over internet connections. This means the game server needs to be accessible from the internet. The server runs on port 35666, which needs to be open in your firewall and forwarded to your server if you are behind a router.
It is possible to create your own game scenarios.
