Waterfox is a browser focused on security and speed. Free and open source
Review
- Waterfox comes with built in tracking protection by default. Waterfox also offers Oblivious DNS, which makes it harder for your ISP to track your website connections, keeping what you do online private;
- Any tab can be made private without opening a new private tab: to do this, right-click on the desired tab and click on “Make private tab”. Private Browsing does not save your browsing data, such as history or cookies, and does not leave a trail once you log out. Waterfox also includes Enhanced Tracking Protection, which stops hidden trackers from collecting your data and slowing down your browsing;
- Tab organization: container tabs help organize browsing by separating work and personal affairs;
- Import support: bookmarks, passwords and more from other browsers;
- Telemetry is disabled within the browser – and only limited data collection is used to keep your browser up to date and secure;
- Waterfox is focused on high-speed operation;
- Support for color schemes: light and dark.
