CoreImage is a free and open source, lightweight and easy to use image viewer for Linux

CoreImage has a simple and user-friendly user interface;
It is possible to zoom in/out the image;
It is possible to save the image in the following formats: BPM, CUR, ICNS, ICO, JPEG, JPG, PBM, PGM, PNG, PPM, TIF, TIFF, WBPM, WEBP, XBM, XPM;
Image rotation support;
There is a slideshow mode;
It is possible to open the image in an external editor or open a storage/folder to store it.

The software CoreImage is available for installation on Linux.
