Crypter – free and open source, cross platform user friendly and secure file encryption software

Review

  • When you first start, you need to create a Master password;
  • The password must contain at least 1 uppercase or uppercase letter, 1 number, 1 special character, and be at least 8 characters long;
  • To encrypt files: you can drag and drop into the program window and drop or select a file or directory with files through the file Manager. The same thing needs to be done for decryption;
  • Encrypted files are saved in a TAR archive with the original file name and extension .crypto;
  • It is possible to export and import keys (.crypter).
