Dot Matrix is a free and open source program for making icons, glyphs, and anything you can create with lines in this grid of dots

There is an possibility to draw/create icons, glyphs and etc. by means of straight lines, arcs and inverted arcs;
It is possible to choose the thickness and color of the line;
There is a possibility to close paths;
It is possible to cancel/repeat actions;
It is possible to set the width and height of the canvas;
The file is saved in SVG format;
Support for keyboard shortcuts.

The software Dot Matrix is available for installation on Linux.
