The interface consists of blocks: toolbar, notes tree, tags, editor, attached files (blocks can be moved inside the program window or removed);
The base is stored as a directory tree on disk;
Tab support;
There is a global search and a note search;
Pages can be of different types. Text pages, HTML pages, and wiki pages are currently supported. You can use the Markdown plugin to write notes using the Markdown language;
You can check spelling for multiple languages at the same time;
You can assign tags to pages;
Support for bookmarks;
Each page can be assigned an icon from a set of embedded images or from an external file;
You can open a note in “read-only mode”;
You can attach files to a note;
You can create links between pages The note editing page has HTML syntax coloring and wiki notation;
Full-screen mode support;
Keyboard shortcut support.

Editor functions:

Highlighting text with color;
Citation;
Insert images, links, horizontal line, page break, and current date;
Headers;
Selection: bold, italics, bold italics, underlined, strikethrough, subscript/Superscript;
Selecting the text color and background;
Alignment;
Inserting numbered/unnumbered lists;
Inserting tables;
And other.

Plugins:

You can insert formulas in TeX format (using the TeXEquation plugin);
It is possible to color the source code of programs in various programming languages (using the Source plugin);
DataGraph: plot the charts on the wiki pages;
Export2Html: export notes in HTML;
Markdown: create page with Markdown format;
Sessions: save the opened tabs;
Snippets: plugin to store text templates;
TableOfContents: create a table of contents in wiki page;
WebPage: download pages from Internet;
And others.

The software OutWiker is available for installation on Linux and Windows.
