Review

Parlatype offers manual and automatic speech recognition, which is performed on your computer;
Speech transcription is performed using PocketSphinx or Mozilla DeepSpeech;
There is no built-in text editor in Parlatype. You need the Parlatype extension for LibreOffice to output the recognized text;
It is possible to control the playback speed;
It is possible to play only the selected part;
Support for timestamps that help navigate through your transcription. Settings: whether or not to show the clock and preceding zeros, precision and symbols near the timestamps;
Multimedia key support: play/pause and rewind;
It is possible to drag files, file names or timestamps into the Parlatype window;
Sound graph settings: the resolution of the sound graph is set in pixels per second, a fixed or moving cursor, enabling or disabling the display of the timeline;
Control settings: rewind on pause (Parlatype, when pausing playback, rewinds the audio recording a few seconds ago, so that it is more convenient to continue transcribing later), adjust the number of seconds of rewinding when pressing the “Rewind” or “Fast Forward” button, adjust the Start button at the end of the file – repeat playback of the file: if you want the file to be replayed from the beginning, adjust the Start button at the end of the selection – Repeat playback of the selected one: if you want to replay the selection again;
Program window settings: memorizing the size (the next time Parlatype is launched, it will restore the window size remembered last time), memorizing the position (the next time the Parlatype window is launched, it will be placed in the same place on the screen where it was closed last time) and running on top of other windows;
Support for keyboard shortcuts.
