Review

A free alternative program for replacing WinRAR, WinZip and similar proprietary utilities on GNU/Linux systems;
The program has its own archive format-PEA, which is set by default, but it also works with other formats. Full support (creating and opening archives): 7z, ARC, 7z-sfx, WRC, gzip, PAQ8F /L/JD /O, ZIP, LPAQ, ZPAQ, bzip2, QUAD/BALZ, WIM, XZ, TAR. Partial support (viewing, testing, unpacking the archive): ARJ, ACE, CAB, CPIO, Z, CHM, DEB, ISO, EAR, WAR, JAR, LZH, PET, PAK, LZMA, RAR, RPM, SMZIP, U3P, XPI, ZIPX;
Supports the creation of multi-volume archives and simultaneous work with several archives;
The application allows you to put custom bookmarks on folders and archives;
PeaZip supports data encryption and the creation of archives protected by a password or a key file. Supported encryption standards: AES, Serpent, Twofish, Blowfish;
There is a key and password generator;
Allows you to extract the contents of ISO disk images, extract compressed HTML help files(CHM);
Support for searching by archive content;

Plugins for PeaZip: PeaZip Unace plugin-necessary for processing ACE archives (viewing and extracting), PEBuilder helps in creating pre-installed BartPE, LIVE, bootable Windows on CD / DVD, SFX modules are used by the 7z backend (the next version of FreeArc will also feature its own SFX modules) to create self-extracting archives.
