Review

Cross-platform file synchronization: Seafile organizes files into libraries. Each library can be synchronized with any desktop computer, including Windows, Mac and Linux. The user can also selectively sync any folder. Seafile provides very fast file synchronization;
Mobile file access: Android and iOS support. Cached files can be used offline without a network environment. Users can also back up photos using mobile clients.
Knowledge Management: Users can save wiki documents in Markdown format directly in the library. Other types of files can be saved together with wiki documents in the library. Full-text search, file tagging, related documents, document browsing features are included to make knowledge management very efficient;
File Versioning and Snapshot: Seafile stores versions for files and snapshots for folders. Users can easily restore a file or folder to an older version. A snapshot of folders is a convenient way to protect files from ransomware. Using the duplication removal technology, file versions are stored in an efficient way with reduced storage space;
File Locking: Seafile supports file locking to prevent simultaneous file editing and the creation of conflicting files. Users can block files in the web interface or desktop clients. Office files are automatically locked when they are opened;
Online Editing and co-authoring: Seafile supports online editing and co-creation of office files (including docx/pptx/xlsx) with integration with Microsoft Office Online Server, OnlyOffice or Collabora Online server. Seafile also has a built-in preview of video, audio, PDF files, images and text files.;
File sharing and permission control: Libraries and folders can be accessed by users or groups with read-only or write-to-read permissions. Files can be shared with external users via shared links. The exchange links can be password protected and support the expiration date setting;
Security and Encryption: Seafile supports end-to-end client-side encryption to protect your data. Seafile also includes the following functions: two-factor authentication, server-side data encryption, all data transmission must be protected by HTTPS/TLS protocol, remote cleaning, virus scanning of files, immediate virus scanning of files uploaded via public access links;
