Vvave is a free and open source program for playing your music collection for KDE Linux

Review

  • There are several modes: minimal mode with only the album cover and playback controls, playlist mode with your current playlist and tracks in the queue, collection mode with a full overview of your music collection;
  • There are several types of sorting: tracks, albums, artists, tags, folders and the cloud;
  • It is possible to hide/show the sidebar with music tracks (playlists, queue);
  • It is possible to get semantic and contextual information about your music: labels, statistics, dates, producers and similar artists, tracks and albums, as well as lyrics and much more (MusicBrainz, LastFM, Spotify, Genius, LyricWikia, iTunes);
  • Playback functions: play/pause, switch tracks (next/previous), control the playback volume, add to favorites, playback modes (sequential, random and repeat);
  • It can work on a Plasma mobile phone.
