Chromium B.S.U. is a free and open source, space-scrolling shooter in an arcade style

Review

  • The goal of the game is to shoot at enemy ships and not let them get to the bottom of the screen;
  • For each enemy ship that reaches the bottom of the screen, the player loses one “life”;
  • The game has a limited number of shots, so you need to calculate their number;
  • With each new level, new types of enemy ships appear;
  • The game has bonus items that you need to collect: weapons (skull) and power-up (penguin tux);
  • It is possible to self-destruct to save your ammunition: double-clicking with the right mouse button will self-destruct your current ship;
  • It is possible to use the ship as a weapon: crash into enemies to destroy them before they can pass by you;
  • Game settings. You can choose: the level (the higher, the more difficult), the complexity, the detail of gfx, enable full-screen mode or select the screen resolution, set the volume of sounds and music, as well as set the speed.
