ClipIt – free and open source, lightweight clipboard manager on GTK+


Setting the clipboard:

  • Use Clipboard (Ctrl+C);
  • Use selection buffer;
  • Synchronize the clipboard;
  • Automatic insertion of the selected item.

Setting up the log/history:

  • Save/Don’t save clipboard manager history;
  • How many items to save in the clipboard manager history;
  • How many items to show in the Indicator menu in the system tray;
  • What is the number of fixed ones show items in the Indicator menu in the system tray;
  • It is possible to enable clearing the clipboard history after a certain time.

  • It is possible to show elements in reverse order;
  • The display of a fragment of elements in the clipboard can be: only the beginning, the beginning and the end, only the end;
  • It is possible to add items to favorites (permanent display in the list);
  • There is an option to add exceptions/filters: a list of regular expression elements that should not be copied to the clipboard history: passwords, sites, etc.;
  • There is an option to enable/disable saving web links (URLs);
  • It is possible to enable/disable saving only hyperlinks;
  • Action support: commands that can be executed on items in the clipboard history list;
  • You can manage the clipboard history: edit, delete, and delete everything;
  • It is possible to temporarily disable the software;
  • Support for customizable keyboard shortcuts.
