DeaDBeeF is a free and open source, multiple-platform modern, simple and minimalist modular audio player


  • Supports playback of formats: MP3, OGG, FLAC/OGA, APE, WAV, WV/ISO. wv, AAC/M4A, ALAC, MPC/MPP/MP+, TTA, WMA, SHN, SID, NSF, MOD, S3M, VTX, VGM/VGZ, PSF, MIDI, audio CDs, all formats supported by FFMPEG, DUMB, GME, Libsndfile, Adplug and others;
  • Creation/save and load playlists in m3u and pls formats (each playlist opens in a new program tab);
  • Support for national win-1251 encoding in ID3 and cuesheet tags, auto-detection of win-1251 and ISO 8859-1 encodings;
  • Supports cuesheets (from files .cue and embedded);
  • Play Internet radio format shoutcast/icecast (mp3, aac), mms (wma), play regular mp3 files over http and ftp (podcasts);
  • Support for customizable system notifications (OSD) with the ability to display album art;

  • Read and write ID3v1, ID3v2, APEv2, vorbis-comments tags, read mp4 itunes tags tags, support for bulk tag editing;
  • There is an audio file converter with the ability to convert tracks in bulk;
  • There is an 18-band equalizer with presets, with the import of fb2k eq presets;
  • There is a function to search for tracks that require volume normalization (ReplayGain Scanner);

  • Support for playing files directly from zip archives;
