Dialect is a free and open source translation software for GNOME Linux


  • Available translation services: Google Translate and LibreTranslate;
  • Support for text-to-speech/speech playback via Google;
  • Automatic language detection;
  • Translation history;
  • There is a translation function as you type (note: your IP may be blocked due to API abuse);
  • There is an option to enable/disable pronunciation;
  • There are buttons to clear the translation window, paste text from the clipboard, and copy;
  • It is possible to choose a keyboard shortcut for translation;
  • Support for two design themes: light and dark;
  • Support for keyboard shortcuts.
