Frets on Fire is a free and open source multiplatform game where the player simulates the performance of a musical composition using the keyboard

  • A clone of Guitar Hero, in which the player simulates the performance of a musical composition by pressing the keys of a computer keyboard or a special controller synchronously with the notes moving on the screen;
  • The aim of the game is to play guitar with the keyboard as accurately as possible;
  • Support for guitar controllers and generic joysticks;
  • Includes a song editor for making your own tunes;
  • It is possible to import hundreds of songs written by the community;
  • Supports importing Guitar Hero I and Guitar Hero II songs;
  • There is a training mode;
  • It is possible to choose the level of difficulty.
