GNOME Recipes – free and easy to use open source recipe management software from the GNOME project



Review

  • The app interface is divided into 2 tabs: recipes and cuisines;

The “Recipes” tab shows suggestions for dishes:

  • Today;
  • Editor’s Picks;
  • Categories;
  • Featured GNOME Chefs.

The “Cuisines” tab shows national and seasonal dishes:

  • World Cuisines: American, Indian, Italian, French and others;
  • Seasonal: summer, winter, christmas, etc.

You can add and edit your own recipes. Here are some fields to fill in:

  • Name;
  • Preparation and cooking time;
  • Ingredients;
  • Description of the cooking process;
  • Add a photo;
  • Add the cooking temperature, etc.

There is a search for recipes by:

  • Keyword;
  • Meal;
  • Spiciness;
  • Dietary restrictions;
  • Ingredients.

  • You can import and export recipes;
  • Export and print shopping lists;
  • Adjust quantities based on the number of servings;
  • Mark recipes to cook later or add them to your favorites;
  • Add notes to recipes;
  • Hands-free cooking instruction mode.
