  • JuK lets you manage your music collections and playlists;
  • It is possible to scan directories to automatically import playlists and music files at startup;
  • Dynamic search is available for playlists, which are automatically updated when the fields in the collection change;
  • There is a tree mode in which playlists are automatically generated for genres, artists, and albums;
  • It is possible to customize the program’s appearance: show/hide some elements: search, tag editor, music text, history, playback queue, and also hide/show columns;
  • There is a search;
  • Playback functions: play/pause, stop, switch tracks (next/previous), rewind, volume up/down/mute, random track, repeat track;
  • It is possible to automatically assign tags to files based on the name or using MusicBrainz;
  • There is a playback history: shows which files were played and when;
  • File Renamer, which can rename files based on the tag content;
  • Last.fm scrobbling support;
  • Support for reading and editing ID3v1, ID3v2, and Ogg Vorbis tags (via TagLib);
  • It is possible to add music files to the playback queue;
  • Support for custom keyboard shortcuts.
