Kooha is a free and open source simple desktop video recording program for Linux



Review

  • Kooha has an intuitive interface with an easy way to record video from the monitor screen;
  • It is possible to record the entire monitor screen/window or select a video recording area from the desktop/monitor screen;
  • There is a possibility of sound from the microphone, as well as computer sounds, or both at the same time;
  • It is possible to set the delay of the start of video recording: 5 and 10 seconds;
  • It is possible to record the mouse cursor;
  • Support for formats for recording video from the screen: WebM, MP4, GIF and MKV;
  • There is a choice of multiple sources and additional hardware accelerated encoding;
  • It is possible to choose a place to save the recording;
  • Support for keyboard shortcuts.
