Makagiga is a free and open source multi-platform simple software for creating to-do lists, notes, and reading RSS feeds


  • The interface consists of a sidebar on the left and a widget Board on the right, as well as a control menu on the top;
  • The sidebar on the left contains a tree of files and directories, RSS feeds and trash, as well as tasks and search;
  • On the widget Board, you can place a search bar (Internet search), to-do lists, calendar and notes, as well as other widgets through add-ons;
  • You can create multiple widget boards;
  • Support for tabs when opening any item: tasks, notes, RSS feeds, and more;
  • You can import and export RSS feeds (.opml, .xml), various task formats (.mgtodo) , and notes (.txt, .md, .markdown, .html);
  • It is possible to save and restore the desired session via “session Management”;
  • Makagiga allows you to add RSS feeds, tasks, notes, images, and links;
  • Support for offline operation;
  • Search by: keywords, name, date of change, tag, icon (console, feed, directory, Internet), file type, color, and rating;
  • Support for displaying statistics for tasks; It is possible to create backups of the current state of the program;
  • Support for adding subtasks;
  • When adding a task, you can: set the start date and completion date, set the priority, highlight the color, add a tag, set the percentage of completion;
  • Text documents: it is possible to insert characters and date with time, you can choose the font, font size, and also its color, there is a simple text formatting, and each text document can: add tags and categories, select an icon, add a text document to bookmarks, each entry can be blocked (i.e. prohibit changes), and also set a password;
  • Support for modules (plugins);
  • Full-screen mode support;
  • Support for keyboard shortcuts.
