Nutty is a free and open source network utility that tracks devices on your network and checks data on bandwidth and speed

Review

  • My Info tab: information about the network card, hardware used, MAC address, IP address, and more;
  • Usage tab: shows data related to the bandwidth of the device running Nutty. The top section shows data sent/received on the current day, yesterday, current month, and last month. The lower part shows the applications currently running and the data sent/received by them;
  • Speed tab: provides information related to the speed of loading/unloading the Internet. The top section shows the upload/download speeds recorded using speedtest.net, the lower part shows the trace route to the specified remote host name with the average time for network hops for three different packets;
  • Ports tab: shows programs and which ports they use;
  • Devices tab: shows devices on the network detected by Nutty. You can edit the device host name and manufacturer name. When you start scanning, devices found at this time are displayed as active. Any discovered device can be deleted by clicking with the right mouse button and select “delete” from the context menu;
  • Using the settings menu under the gear icon in the header, you can configure the monitoring schedule to allow Nutty to work at the desired intervals for scanning devices. When a new device is detected, a notification appears on the desktop.
