RecApp is a free and open source, simple and user friendly app for recording desktop for Linux



Review

  • It is possible to select the video recording area from the desktop/screen;
  • You can choose the frame rate: 15, 30, 60;
  • It is possible to set the delay for the start of video recording from 1 to 100 seconds;
  • There is an output of notifications about the end of recording;
  • You can choose the output file format: webm, mkv, mp4;
  • There is a choice to enable or not to enable high quality recordings;
  • It is possible to record audio from applications;
  • It is possible to record the mouse cursor;
  • You can choose where to save the recording.
