SoundConverter – free and open source simple, convenient and fast audio file converter for Linux



Review

Input formats:

  • audio formats: WAV, WavPack, FLAC, APE, ALAC, M4A, Shorten (SHN), MPC, MP3, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, DTS, AC3,
  • tracker music formats: MOD, XM, S3M, SID and others,
  • video formats: AVI, MPEG, MOV;

Output format:

  • MP3, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, WAV и FLAC;

  • In the editing settings, you can set the output file format, quality, speed (cbr, abr, vbr), save folder after conversion, and file name format;
  • Extract audio tracks from AVI, MPEG, and MOV video files;
  • SoundConverter can use GNOME Audio Profiles – profiles with custom, preset conversion parameters;
  • You can create an output file name based on a custom template (for example, {Track} _ {Artist} _ {Name}. mp3);
  • Multithreaded processing is supported.
