Vorta – free and open source, multi-platform desktop backup client for Borg



Review

  • Encrypted, deduplicated, and compressed backups that use Borg as a backend;
  • Vorta allows you to create backups to: local disks, your own server or BorgBase, a hosting service for Borg backup;
  • You can create flexible profiles for grouping source folders (selecting folders and files, and excluding them from backup), backup destinations, and schedules;
  • View time-stamped backup archives from which you can extract, mount, check, delete, or trim backups;
  • You can configure deleting old backups after a certain period of time;
  • There is a built-in SSH key generation;
  • There is a possibility to customize the display of notifications when a backup fails and/or successful completion;
  • Enable/disable automatic launch of Vorta at login.
